LOCAL ARTIST Annemiek van Dyk
Her style of work is contemporary, with simplistic lines and shapes.
Annemiek studied Jewellery Design and Manufacture at the Technikon of the Witwatersrand.
She gained post-graduate experience internationally in Schoonhoven, The Netherlands.
On her return to South Africa, she joined various smaller studios to expand on her technical jewellery manufacturing skills. In 2008 she formed Annemiek van Dyk Jewellery.
Her style of work is contemporary, with simplistic lines and shapes. She also has a love for floral patterns and designs. She combines various materials with sterling silver, crystal, thread and semi-precious stones.
Annemiek says that her biggest joy is a happy client, who will often reply “your works puts a smile on our faces”. She says if it does not make you happy, then you should not wear it.
